Artonot #18: Bonsai, art or expression of insecurity?
Here’s our take on Bonsai horticulture.
It originated in Asia. If you’ve watched any pr*n for a day in your life, you KNOW that Asian men have the smallest peckers in the universe (and those are just their ACTORS!). Thus, it is our hypothesis that the tendency to minituarize trees was developed out of their insecurity of having a below average sized genitalia. WE COULD BE WRONG OF COURSE! You be the judge… (these little trees are still pretty cool though)
Verdict: Because Bonsai tree growing is not done for its own sake (see above), as all true art ought to be, we deem this practice to be UNartistic.
Care to disagree?

Well Bonsai is an art form that melds art and nature. If it was developed because a asian men felt insecure about being undersized, then wouldn’t they have worked on huge over size trees and not minatures? besides, they only had each other to compare to and not anglos back then and also their women are also “undersized” so to them they are normal and would not have felt insecure. Get your mind off your little peewee and stop projecting
you’re right… i wrote this post a while ago. i was a bit more immature and insecure back then. bonsai trees are cool, now that i think about it
Bonsai (pronounced BONE-SAY)…(yeah, Bevis, I said BONE)….IS THE ART OF replicating trees that managed to grow in the very cracks and crevices of rocks (on mountains etc.,). These hardy trees managed their resources enough to grow, but are always stunted due to restricted root space. Bonsai trees are people’s appreciation and fascination with these troopers of nature who end up looking really gnarly, miniature, and disproportional– but apparently have something we recognize as beauty. DON’T BE A NUMBSKULL! THE WORLD ISN’T FLAT AND DOESN’T REVOLVE AROUND YOUR COCK. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE WITH A BIGGER OR SMALLER COCK THAN YOU, SO GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON….SAID.
