Jackson Pollock: Artist or Fartist?
Something about this guy and his artistry always bothered me. While some critics call his paintings masterpieces of abstract expressionism, I think they look more like vomit patches. Artistic? Hardly. That said, one of the best things about art is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion

I saw this guys work in D.C. a couple summers ago. Definitely art in my opinion.
Indeed, the vast majority would agree with you. Truly, I don’t recall seeing a Pollock painting up close, but from the pictures I’ve seen all over the internet and in art books, I just can’t seem to figure out what it is he is trying to communicate with his work, and what possible cultural significance the stuff might carry. Perhaps that is my fault, and not the artist’s…
