The ART of Tennis, an Artonot original
an artist is you! or at least that seems to be the general consensus these days…
Inspired by all of the wannabe artists we’ve been discussing on the blog so far, I’ve decided to give this “creativity” thing a try myself, and here are the fruits of today’s labor. It’s amazing what you can accomplish on the tennis court, and I’m not just talking about serving some aces. With a few bum balls, nets, fences, and rackets as my tools, I am beginning my artistic career as a tennis ball sculptor!
I swear, some poor, hopeless, good for nothing (else) art student will look at this blog, get “inspired” and glue together a giant tennis ball sculpture, made from like a million balls. Then, some art “critic” will give it a raving review, and viola, you have yourself a new alternative arts movement… Thus, some bored idiot could change the course of art history, a little…
SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? AM I AN ARTIST YET???

This one reminds me of a frog:

This is a spaceship:

A secret message hides in the fence, can you guess what it is???!!!

Tennis Ball Sculpture, No glue required!

My tennis ball artistry probably has Michelangelo spinning in his grave… but then again, so does most modern painting, architecture, and sculpture.

Ok, I’m done here for now.

Just having some fun on the tennis court… with balls. What does everyone think?
Quit playing with your balls!

I have always been a fan of folding paper particularly making paper airplanes. I started with a software called The Greatest Paper Airplanes published by Kitty Hawk. Unfortunately the software is no longer distributed today. It teaches how to fold 50 different paper airplanes. It’s a good place to start learning origami.
Good job. I agree with you.
