Are these at all artistic? This is a topic that has been bugging me for some time. Some of these can make you laugh and cry. Although not wholly original, the combination of text and pictures can result in really clever images that catch on around various internet subcultures like wildfire. It’s about time we looked at some graffiti at Artonot. What’s your opinion?
Again, a far cry from Rembrandt. The label “urban art” is merely a poor excuse for artistic incompetence. Graffiti artists should go find a real profession and do something they’re actually good at.
I still can’t figure out why the standards for artistic creation have dropped so much since the Renaissance. How curious.
