A claim to art that should make grown men cry from pain, embarassment

After museum curators and other art connoisseurs accept a two year old’s paint doodles for a genuine artistic effort, many true “artists” should probably call it quits in their profession, or at least so I would imagine. Basically, I’m appalled. This also proves once again that abstract expressionism is nothing but the biggest scam in the history of art. I am all for boosting some kids’ self esteem, but to allocate museum space for supposed masterpieces of a two year old is taking it a bit TOO far, in my opinion. Or am I way off base here?

I especially love the first response in the reader comments section, which goes like this: “Just proves that art curators have no idea!”

Artonot #13: Do you REALLY think your kids are artists? Well do ya???

OMG, we just HAD to borrow one of the maddox classics and review it here. Listen, whatever your child’s 3rd grade art teacher tells you, your kids can’t draw for sh*t. The following picture is very much appropriate since we just celebrated Easter a week or so ago. I’m not sure if those three things at the bottom should be eggs, bunnies, or both… Good luck figuring this one out… and no hard feelings, we’re sure your 9-year-old will never find this website…
